Faye Hayden

Faye has worked for the Family Resource Centre since March 2020, she runs the Roscommon Young Carers Project supporting young people aged 8-21 years old, who fulfil the role of a primary or secondary carer at home. This can be for a family member who has a physical injury/illness, a long term condition or a mental health condition of any kind. The Project provides fun activities that build resilience, and self-care skills both practical and emotional.

Faye is also involved in setting up the local Restorative Practice Network, with a view to building a Restorative Community. Faye studied Law at university and is currently studying for her MA in Social Justice and Public Policy. She has worked in Finance, and also with Foroige and Social Justice Organisation Sligo Social Services. Faye runs youth clubs for Autistic teens and adults in Leitrim and she writes children’s books about Disabilities and Inclusion.
