Do Good, Feel Good.

The benefits that volunteering can have on a person’s health and wellbeing.  Volunteers often say that while people think that volunteers are helping them, it’s often them who help the volunteers.

Vita House thanks the many people who offer their time and talents to the community and acknowledges the contribution volunteers make to the community, helping to make the world a better place, and improving the lives of others.

Become a Volunteer

Volunteers are essential to us in our work. Vita House’s beginnings and many of the developments down the years have been largely due to voluntary input by many dedicated volunteers.

Volunteers have helped us make a huge difference to many people in times of need. There are plenty of ways to volunteer, including both short term and longer term opportunities.

Short Term Volunteering

Help us with a project or fundraising effort.

Organise a Fundraising Event

Why not rally your friends and family together to organise your own fundraising event, download a copy of our Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising which contains relevant information.

For further information and to discuss how you can show your support please contact us.

Long Term Volunteering

Vita House has always valued volunteer for a variety of reasons, as they:

  • Bring new ideas and perspectives
  • Give much needed practical support
  • Help to reduce prejudices that exist about many problems that people experience
  • Show people that their community cares about them

To apply, please download the application form and send it to info@vitahouse.org or write to us at Vita House, Abbey Street, Roscommon.

Volunteering will involve Garda vetting and reference checking. We look forward to hearing from you.
